DTY (Draw Textured Yarn) is a textured and is permanently modified yarn to create a stretchy and bulky effect. The smooth diamond-shaped pattern, the thick feeling of the 240-245g basis weight, and the elasticity of 2.9% spandex make this fabric functional as an all-weather outer fabric.
Polyester synthetic fibers are characterized by being stiff and shiny as the yarn is. Many processing methods have been developed to create a feeling similar to that of natural fibers. DTY is processed through a method of twisting and unwinding the thread to give it a slight curve (false-twisting). Therefore, this fabric also has a texture that is felt on the surface closer to natural fibers than that of ordinary synthetic fibers.
